WTF Takes Over NYC

WTF Takes Over NYC

In case you missed it, Work Train Fight had a busy weekend.

Bowery Boxing

First up, WTF paired with Hotel 50 Bowery, where trainer Josh led a heart-pumping circuit class. The Saturday afternoon class was held in their 5,000 sq foot Atlantic Garden.  This outdoor space is primarily used to hold relevant and entertaining activities for their guests, highlighting what the neighborhood has to offer.

Bowery Boxing x WTF was open to hotel guests as well as the general public and gave the participants the experience of the premier boxing gym in the neighborhood. For all involved, it was the perfect way to get the weekend off on the right (or left) foot.

Afterwards, Nikki Campbell held it down at Ketanga Fitness’s Muscles and Margaritas event.

The event was held at the Flatiron favorite, Casa Neta, where Nikki led a group of tequila-loving fitness-enthusiasts through a kick-butt, boxing-inspired work out (and that’s a lot of hyphenates). It was followed by homemade guacamole and stellar margaritas. Now that’s a knockout combination.

Finally, at home base, WTF hosted Youth Boxing for Change’s launch party.

After the YB4C team spent the morning volunteering at The Father’s Heart Ministry’s weekly soup kitchen, they headed over to headquarters to start setting up for the big event. As the official launch party for this new non-profit, everyone was a little nervous about how it would turn out.

Well, we needn’t have worried, as the WTF community turned up in a big way.

The event was a huge success, with over 75 participants and nearly $2,500 raised. After a killer class, tons of pad work, and a raffle drawing, everyone left happy. Sweaty, and happy.

Stay tuned, and be on the lookout for more WTF takeovers.
