Sick of the ol’ dinner and a movie routine (or even worse, Netflix and Chill)? Looking for a fun night out with your friends? Or maybe just need something to beat the winter blues? You’re in luck!
On Friday March 9th, Work Train Fight is hosting The New York Metropolitan Qualifiers (previously known as the New York Golden Gloves). You can expect: awesome amateur bouts, a rowdy crowd, music, booze, food. What more could you ask for on a Friday night? Not only that, but you’ll get to hang out with your WTF family. And because our beloved trainers won’t be fighting, they will be in full party mode! So come on down!
The Golden Gloves, which started in 1962, is the most highly regarded amateur boxing tournament in the United States. Winners of regional competitions (such as this one in NYC) go on to compete in the national tournament. Many amateur Golden Gloves participants went on to become professional boxers, including Joe Louis, Muhammad Ali, and Joe Frazier.
Hang out with previous Golden Glove winners and WTF trainers: Freddie Soto and Martin Rios, and the rest of the WTF crew.
So come by on Friday March 9th (doors open at 6:30pm) to enjoy some good food, good company and good fights. Friends and family welcome. Tickets will be available for purchase online. See you there!
